The Tamborrada

The heartbeat of our Holy Week

The sound of hundreds of drums announces the arrival of our Holy Week. The Tamborrada of Alicante is a celebration of music, tradition and devotion, bringing together the Brotherhoods and Guilds of our city through a shared rhythm.

Since its first edition in 2015, this event has become one of the most representative occasions in the calendar leading up to Holy Week. The traditional Toque de Honor (Ceremonial Drum Roll) marks the beginning of a day when Alicante beats to the sound of its drums.
