The Official Proclamation

Each year, words become an expression of devotion as they announce the arrival of Alicante Holy Week. The Official Proclamation is one of the most eagerly awaited events of Lent, bringing together tradition, faith and emotion to proclaim the beginning of very special days for our brotherhoods and guilds.

Through the voice of the official speaker, Alicante prepares to experience its processions, traditions and the devotion that forms part of its identity.
