Currently, there are 28 Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods that make up the Holy Week of Alicante putting on the street more than half a hundred steps. The origins of the oldest date back to the end of the fifteenth century, although it is not ruled out that they already existed before without their documentation reaching this day. 28 Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods, each with a different essence and idiosyncrasies, which combine devotion and religiosity with the light, sea and color of Alicante composing an eclectic Holy Week full of nuances.
The Official Race is located in the center of the city, on the Rambla de Méndez Núñez, between the Bank of Spain and the Portal de Elche, a few meters from the historic center, and is a meeting point for all of them in its running from Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday.
