These elements are set against a Nazarene-purple\n          background, within a cross-shaped frame decorated in gold. The Brotherhood's coat of arms is\n            embroidered on the hood. The habit is completed with a gold cord tied around the\n            waist, finished at both ends with matching tassels and a Franciscan knot. Members\n            also wear white gloves, black footwear and the Brotherhood's medal.\n          <\/p>\n        <\/div>\n\n      <\/div>\n\n    <\/section>\n\n    <!-- HISTORY -->\n    <section class=\"ssa-ficha-seccion\">\n      <div class=\"ssa-ficha-titulo\">\n        <span>04<\/span>\n        <div>\n          <p class=\"ssa-ficha-kicker\">ORIGINS AND HISTORY<\/p>\n          <h2>History of the Brotherhood<\/h2>\n        <\/div>\n      <\/div>\n\n      <div class=\"ssa-ficha-historia\">\n        <p>\n          In the 19th century, Christ and his brotherhood were commonly known by the generic\n          name \u201cThe Nazarene\u201d. The local press continued to use this name when referring to the\n          new brotherhood that emerged in 1942 under the name of Our Father Jesus. However,\n          devotion to the image and its participation in Holy Week celebrations may date back\n          to before the 19th century.\n        <\/p>\n\n        <p> \n          The Brotherhood was founded within the Catholic Centre on 24 April 1941. Initially,\n          there was a proposal to establish the Brotherhood of the Prayer in the Garden.\n          However, during an assembly, Mr Antonio Vigrana Belda expressed his willingness to\n          pay for the image himself, provided that it was an image of Our Father Jesus the\n          Nazarene.\n        <\/p>\n\n        <p>\n          From that moment onwards, the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus was established.\n          The image is by an unknown artist, although it was initially attributed to sculptor\n          Mr Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Ponsoda Bravo, who at the time was working for the Valencian firm\n          \u201cPeris Hermanos\u201d. The company had a branch in Alicante, on Manero Moll\u00e1 Street, and\n          was commissioned to create the processional float.\n        <\/p>\n\n        <blockquote>\n          The Brotherhood has always taken part in the Tuesday evening procession, except in\n          1970, when the threat of rain led it to take part on Holy Wednesday instead.\n        <\/blockquote>\n\n        <p>\n          In 2007, an image of the Virgin under the title of the Most Holy Virgin of Sorrows\n          was added to the procession, having been donated by a family. At a meeting of the\n          Board of Directors on 27 June 2007, it was agreed that the Brotherhood should have\n          its own float and image. This decision was ratified at the general assembly held\n          on 11 July 2007.\n        <\/p>\n\n        <blockquote>\n          The new float of the Virgin of Sorrows made its debut during Holy Week 2008. It was\n          created by the Salmer\u00f3n brothers from Socu\u00e9llamos, Ciudad Real, reusing the four\n          old candelabra from the float of Our Father Jesus.\n        <\/blockquote>\n\n        <p>\n          The new sculpture of the Most Holy Virgin of Sorrows was created by the sculptor\n          from Torrevieja, Mr V\u00edctor Garc\u00eda Villalgordo, and funded by Mr V\u00edctor Villanueva\n          Colomina.
